Goku is one of the worlds most powerful warriors, and every time there has been a formidable challenge or foe come up against him, he has rose high above anything in his way. Goku is without a doubt, the strongest warrior in the galaxy by the end of Dragonball Z, with his carefree attitude, his compassionate heart, and his superb fighting skills; he is a force that’s not to be reckoned with. As an infant Goku was sent to Earth to prepare it to be sold. He could easily eliminate all life on the planet, but he falls into a ravine and hits his head as a baby. Now with his orders lost, Goku becomes a friendly boy who fights on the side of good. He's not too intelligent, but a natural when it comes to the martial arts and manipulating his Ki. By far, Goku has the most abilities of any of the Z warriors (Cell is the only character with more). He marries Chi-Chi, daughter of Gyuu-Mao; and together they have two sons, Gohan and Goten. Over the course of his life, Goku did a lot of training. This is the secret to his strength. Whenever his friends were in danger, he would train even harder, gaining a new level of power. He didn’t become the fighter that he was by himself though. Many people took him under their helm, and trained him to be fluent in the martial arts.

Vegeta was once prince of the planet Vegeta. His father was King Vegeta and his mother is unknown. When he was young, Furiza took over planet Vegeta, and later destroyed it and everyone on it. Luckily, Vegeta was on Furiza's ship at the time, and did not die with the rest of the Saiyans. Vegeta, with two other Saiyans who had survived, Raditz and Nappa, were under Furiza's control for many years, until Raditz was sent to Earth to find his brother, Goku. On Earth Raditz is killed but not before he let Vegeta and Nappa know about the dragonballs. Hungry for power, Vegeta set a course for Earth, only to find they were no match for Goku, who had been training for a year for there arrival. Vegeta killed Nappa after making a fool of himself, but despite how strong he was compared to his partner, Goku still beat him. Vegeta left Earth already planning his revenge. After another unlikely turn of events on the planet Namek, Vegeta ended up back on Earth, and eventually learned to put up with Z warriors.
Vegeta never becomes stronger then Goku, but is always there to help the Z warriors. Vegeta reaches super saiyan status in the Android Saga, and reaches Super Saiyan level 2 when he becomes a Majin in the Buu saga. Vegeta later "hooks" up with Bulma and they have two children, Trunks, and Bra. Vegeta eventually forgets his evil ways and fights for good... rather then evil.

Piccolo is one of the strongest warriors on earth. He is full namekian, and half of Kami-sama. The God of Earth, Kami, broke himself into two parts Good and Evil. Piccolo Daimao was the evil half who later in Dragonball fights Goku. Goku kills him but before doing so he spits out an egg which the piccolo from Dragonball Z is born. Piccolo is GOku's rival throughout Dragonball and the begining of Dragonball Z but later becomes good friends with him. he treats Gohan like a son and trains him for the fight against the Saiyans. When he dies in the Saiyan Saga he goes to King Kai's planet to train where he becomes much stronger. Piccolo is usually a big help if not through his strength, through his brain. Piccolo is extremely smart, in fact Majin Buu Absorbs him for his brain so that he will be a smarter fighter.

Gohan is Goku's first son and one of the strongest beings alive. He has always admired Piccolo as a second father and admired his father as the srongest and greatest warrior in the galaxy. After Goku died fighting Raditz, he was trained by Piccolo. He ran away from his training and went home only to go back after learing that the world depended on him. After the fight with the saiyans Gohan's power increased dramaticly. It showed when he went to Namek with Krillin and Bulma to gather the dragonballs. Gohan becomes good friends with Krillin up until Gohan hits his teens.

arrives we notice Gohan take on a bigger role in the show. He reaches super saiyan for the first time while training with Goku in the Room of time and spirit. Near death during the Cell Games Gohan is able to reach Super Saiyan level 2, making him the strongest warrior at that time. Later in the series when fighting Majin Buu Gohan is given the privelage of receiving a powerup from the great Dai-Kaioshin who comes out of the Zed Sword. Because of this powerup Gohan becomes "Mystic" Gohan. Being "Mystic" makes him superior to Majin Buu and he is easily able to beat him, until he is tricked. Able the Buu saga Gohan takes more to the books and doesnt reach his full fighting potential. He marries Videl, and they have a daughter Pan.

Trunks is first introduced as the "mysterious youth." He quickly defeats Frieza and King Cold, which ends the threat of Frieza. Everyone is at awe to see someone so young and be a super saiyan. Trunks waits for Goku to arrive and reveals everything. he tells of 2 androids that will destroy the earth and kill practicly everyone. These androids will show in 3 years. Trunks tells Goku that he come from the Future to stop the androids and that Goku must stop them. Goku agrees and Trunks leaves... Everyone then decides to train like crazy to become strong enough to defeat the androids. Three years later Trunks arrives again, this time ready to fight with the Z warriors against the androids. Vegeta then finds the true identity of Trunks, the son of Vegeta and Bulma. This was kept from Bulma and Vegeta for three years by Piccolo and Goku. Unlike Chibi Trunks Mirai Trunks doesnt have a sister though. Eventually Mirai Trunks defeats the Androids with the help of the Z warriors. he becomes extremely strong due to his training in the Room of Time and Spirit. He is the first to surpass Super Saiyan by becoming Ultra Super Saiyan, although useless to Cell.
Trunks finally leaves to the future again. In the future he finally defeats the androids in his own time without a problem ending the horror in his life.
Mirai Trunks is much more stronger then chibi trunks due to his hard life, and experiencing the Cell games with allowed him to train in the room of Time and Spirit. Chibi trunks becomes strong but never becomes as strong as Mirai Trunks. Mirai Trunks life after the Cell game is unknown, but we know he was training by Gohan in his own time period before he was killed by the androids.

Goten is the second son of Goku and Chi Chi. He is born while Goku is in heaven, so he is even a little scared of his dad when they first meet. He is very powerful, like his father, as he is also half Saiyan. He first goes Super Saiyan at the age of 7, becoming the youngest person ever to do so. He is far stronger than either his dad or his older brother, Gohan, were at his age. Goten is good friends with Trunks, since both of them are about the same age (Trunks is one year older). Trunks is the more powerful of the two, since he is older. Goten and Trunks fuse together to form Gotenks, argueably one of the strongest characters in the Dragonball world. Towards the end of the series, Goten becomes really lazy, so he doesn't develop his fighting skills to their full potential.

Gotenks is the product of the fusion (dance) between Goten and Trunks. He is first introduced into Dragonballz during the Buu saga and also appears in movie 12 and 13.Gotenks is extremely powerful, but extremely cocky and overconfident, which gets him into trouble and also makes him hella funny. He is also fond of making up useless special attacks that don't cause much damage to opponents.
The Story
As the battle between Goku and Buu comes to an end, Goku makes an offer buu can't refuse. He offers him a battle against a very powerful warrior, but the stipulation is that he has to wait for 3 days for the warrior to train. This powerful warrior is Gotenks.Buu accepts this offer and waits for 3 days. What is the fusion dance? Two fighters of the same race and similar power levels, stand beside each other and perform a special dance that causes them to combine into one fighter. As a result of fusing, they gain more strength and speed than they would have had as separate fighters. After 30 minutes the fusion wears off, and the fighters separate again. The fusion dance must be performed correctly, or it will result in a bad fusion.Below are examples of bad fusions between Goten and Trunks. During the 3 days Trunks and Goten are taught the fusion dance by Goku (before he has to return to the next dimension) and Piccolo. Although this training is successful Gotenks is still not strong enough to defeat Buu(and is given an ass kicking by buu).So trunks and Goten undergo severe mental and physical training in the Room of Spirit and Time(hyperbolic Time chamber) for 3 months,where they learn how to turn SSJ2 and SSJ3 in fusion form(Gotenks turns SSJ3 for the first time when he needs to break a hole through the S and T room). After all the training is finished Trunks and Goten are ready to fight and Buu is taken into the room of spirit and time where they are waiting for him. Trunks and Goten Fuse, and the battle begins………..

He also follows a few of Vegetas traits(i.e verbally abusing enemies).During the Buu saga this fusion was intended to be permanent, but when Vegetto entered Kid Buu Vegeta and Goku were able to defuse.In this fusion form Vegeta is dominant.
The Story
Gohan,Piccolo and Gotenks have all been absorbed by Buu.Goku's intended fusion between him and Gohan is now impossible. It looks like there is no hope for planet Earth(or Goku),when Vegeta returns from the afterlife to join forces with Goku and defeat buu. However Vegeta and Goku are still no match for Buu. There only hope of destroying Buu, and ridding the world of this great evil is to use the legendary Potara earrings.Vegeta is reluctant but agrees and he and Goku put one earring on.The fusion begins..and a warrior strong enough to defeat Buu is made.His name is Vegetto....
Potara Earrings ?
This process results in a permanent fusion. To achieve this fusion, two fighters must wear a Kaioshin’s earrings. These are the Potera Earrings. The fighters must each wear one earring in opposite ears. As soon as the earring's are in place the two characters are pulled together and a new character is created. Unlike the Fusion dance, the two fighters do not have to be close in body size, the same race or power level. When the fighters fuse, their clothing changes to a combination of the two fighters wardrobe. In addition the Potara Earrings act as a power-up,which explains why Vegetto had the power of Super Saiya-jin 3 in Super Saiya-jin 2 form.

Krillin is Goku’s best friend. He and Goku were both trained by Master Roshi immediately after the Pilaf Era of Dragonball. They were rivals at first, but quickly became friends. Much like Master Roshi, Krillin is a huge pervert. In fact, he gave Master Roshi a porno magazine just to be trained. Krillin entered the Tenkaichi Budokai tournament many times, but has never won. He is the strongest human on Earth, but he can’t measure up to the power of Saiya-jins. Krillin was barely helpful in the Cell Era, and he became much weaker in the Buu Era. Krillin is a very short man. He’s bald until the Buu Era of Dragonball Z. Despite popular beliefs, he chooses to shave his head because he is a monk. That is also why he has the 6 dots on his head. In the Buu Era, he grows some black hair, and in GT he has gray hair and a moustache. One of the most interesting thing about his appearance is that he does not have a nose. It is said that he breathes through the six dots on his head. All Krillin really wants is a girlfriend. He mentioned this on numerous occasions, but all of which were removed from the dub.
In the Garlic Jr. Saga, he has a dead ringer for Bulma named Marron as his girlfriend. She leaves him at the beginning of the Android Saga, though. Sometime between the Cell and Buu eras, Krillin marries Android #18. Android #18 is the one who convinced Krillin to stop shaving his head. They have a daughter named Marron (yes…he named his daughter after his ex-girlfriend) who accompanies them to the Tenkaichi Budokai, and shows up in GT a bit.

Yamucha is one of the weaker characters in the series, carried over from Dragon Ball. In Dragon Ball, Yamucha was a desert bandit, robbing people who passed through his wasteland. He joined up with Goku so he could wish for a girlfriend. But, along the journey, he loses his fear of women from constantly being around Bulma. He is best known as Bulma's boyfriend. When first shown in Dragonball Z, Yamucha is a pro baseball player on a team called the Titans. Puar, a shape-shifting cat is Yamucha's constant companion, who talks him into playing baseball so he can pay the rent. Yamucha gets huge bonuses for hitting home runs. Krillin finds him during a brawl to tell him that he has been summoned by Kami, guardian of the Earth, for special training. During the battle with the Saiyans, Yamucha is killed when a Saibaman pulls a kamikaze attack on him. Bulma, despite pretending that she hates Yamucha, is heartbroken over this.

A three-eyed warrior, Tenshinhan was also carried over from DB. Originally trained as an assassin by one of Master Roshi's rivals, named Tsurusennin (Crane Master), Tenshinhan gave this up when he learned that Tsurusennin was making Chauzu hold Goku down while Tenshinhan was fighting him. He then stopped respecting Tsurusennin. Tenshinhan is also called for training with Kami. Fighting Nappa's Saibamen, he kills one, but pays. Nappa attacks him first and knocks most of his left arm off. After losing his best friend Chauzu, Tenshinhan gathers all his energy and blasts Nappa with his Kikoho. Nappa sees it at the last second, and blocks it. Energyless, Tenshinhan then dies. After this battle, Tenshinhan becomes less important. Although he is seen, he rarely fights. One battle is during the Buu saga. Right before Buu is about to kill Gohan, one of Tenshinhan's blasts distracts Buu. Tenshinhan then places his hands steeple-fashion, targets Buu, and lauches a massive Kikoho. Buu is, however, isnt hirt at all. After Goku cuts Buu in half with a Kienzan, Buu's legs kick Tenshinhan in the back, knocking him out.

World Martial Arts champion Mr. Satan is possibly the funniest character in Dragonball Z. Tough on the outside wuss on the inside. After the last Tenkaichi Budoukai Goku participates in Mr. Satan takes his reign as the world champion. Mr. Satan won practicly all the Tenkaichi Budoukai's up until the 29th. After winning the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai because the Z warriors were dicqualified for leaving to fight Majin Buu, Mr. Satan has Mr. Buu win all the Tenakichi Budoukais and then throw the last match to him so that he will still be the champion. Mr. Satan is pretty weak, but after his daughter Videl marries Gohan and they have a daughter Pan, Mr. Satan opens up to everyone. In GT, although old, Mr. Satan is pretty much always there to look out for his grandaughter Pan.

After Goku destroyed the Red Ribbon Army, all Dr. Gero wanted was to get his revenge. he worked in his laboratory for years trying to create the best weapon to defeat Goku. He gathered Cells from all the Z fighters including Goku, Vegeta, Tenshinhan, Krillin, Piccolo, and yamucha. He also gathered Cells from Freazer and his father King Cold. Combining these Cells together he was able to create the best being alive, Cell. Cell wasnt strong enough to defeat Goku or the Z fighters, so he stole Mirai Trunks' time machine and went back in time to absorb Androud #17 and #18, this would make him "Perfect Cell." Cell is leathal, and extremely strong. Up until that point there was no one as powerful. Not even Goku has enough power to defeat him. In the Cell Saga, Cell hosts his own tournament called The Cell Games. In the Cell games, Cell is evenly matched with Goku. beaten up pretty bad Goku tells Cell that he has someone that can beat him. He tells Gohan to give it a try. Gohan gets tossed around and everyone thinks the worse. Because of Gohan's unique ability to raise his power when enraged he is able to reach Super Saiyan level 2. Gohan easily knocks Cell around and as the fight moves along Gohan eventually kills Cell with an amazing KameHameHa dual. Cell is also seen again in an episode of Dragonball Gt when Goku goes to hell.

Majin Buu was first created by Bibidi, the father of Babidi. Bibidi was unstopable and destroying much of the galaxy. The Kaioshin's of each galaxy came together to defeat Majin Buu and Bibidi. There was a feirce battle, but in the end Majin Buu was sealed up using magic and Bibidi was killed. Unfortunately for the kaioshins, 3 were killed and 1 absorbed. We meet Majin Buu in the Buu saga. Bibidi's son Babidi is gathering energy to resurrect Majin Buu and use him as a slave to rule the galaxy like his father. Eventually Babidi's majin goons gather enough energy from Majin Vegeta and Gohan. Babidi then uses the energy to awaken Majin Buu. Majin Buu is unstoppable and defeats practicly every Z warrior. meanwhile Dai-Kaioshin who came from the Zed sword is giving Gohan a Mystical powerup. Because of This Gohan is able to take Majin Buu out. Majin Buu tricks Gotenks and Piccolo, and they get absorbed. This gives Majin Buu enough power to defeat Mystic Gohan.
Goku then arrives along with Vegeta who was granted permition to fight in the living by kaioshin. They are no match for Majin Buu and are forced to fuse, making Vegetto. Vegetto kicks Majin Buu around a bit and has him beat. Majin Buu then absorbs Vegetto which wears off the fusion inside him. Goku and Vegeta do there best to save everyone who has been absorbed. Everyone is finally freed, and there is a final battle. Throughout all this Majin Buu had been transforming, and at this point makes his final transformation to Kid Buu. Goku and Vegeta give it there all to stop Kid Buu, and in the end all the Humans on earth donate there energy to Goku's Genki Dama and he uses it to defeat Kid Buu for good.
